The date is set.

I will be starting chemo treatment on Monday 8-31-09 @1:45pm this is the beginning of to the end of my cancer if all goes as planned. I am praying that my side effects will be minimal or nonexistent we'll see. Some of the most common side effects for all 3 drugs given are; diarrhea/vomiting which should be no more than 2 to 3 times a day, if any more than that it's a problem. Hair loss, low white blood cell counts, mouth sores, fatigue, pain and numbness in hands and feet, fevers/chills. They told me that if my body temp gets more than 101.5 then I need to call the nurse and head to the hospital because there may be a serious problem going on and it needs correction now. This is just a small list of what each drug may cause. They gave me a full pages of stuff you may experience for each drug and that I may or may not get that sick, time will tell. I will be able to judge for myself if the treatments are working before the scan is done because if I start to get relief when food passes through the the esophagus then the tumor there is shrinking. I also found out that the cancer in my liver is not considered liver cancer but is still esophageal cancer because that is the type of cell that was transported to the other areas through the blood stream, I found this very interesting. Well I hope I didn't bore you but the educational benefit from all this would cost you a lot if you had to pay to go to college to learn it.

You will see some amazing things that God is doing through all this very soon because he is working through so many people behind the scenes that I haven't even begin to imagine the possibilities of what our true and loving God is capable of, but it is a blessing to his name to see the wonderful things that is happening though the love I've seen so far. A lot of people want to be nameless through this so God receives the glory for the love that is being shown, but rest assured he knows and sees all and the rewards are great for kindness shown in love and mercies name.

Once again thanks and love to all,
Dave and family
