New chemo in action, let us Pray!

Hi everyone, we met with the doctor again to go over the scan and I now have the visual of it to describe. When we looked at the picture he is able to roll up from the feet toward the head looking at the cross sections as you move along. First the pelvis rolls through then each cross section of the stomach till you start to see the bottom of the liver, where 2 lesions appear. As he slowly scrolls up those spots disappear and several more come in to view as those leave the picture even more appear, large and small in size. He stops at the top of the liver to show me some of the bigger ones and several new ones. the one the blew me away was the one on the lymph node behind my stomach it is about 6 cm in size and is larger than any of the other tumors. It's the one that gives me the most pain, it pushes against the back of my stomach to where I get a fuller feeling when I eat and it also causes bad pain in my back, when I start to feel it there I know its pain pill time again. He doesn't know why I'm getting relief in my esophagus since the tumor hasn't chance and the lining has gotten thicker, but we're giving good status at this point. As for surgery to remove the lymph node if they open me up they would have to take every thing effected or it will start sending cells out to other areas because it is under attack and it spreads elsewhere. Also the exposure to air for a long length of time will cause it to start to gel so it's hard to cut it all out and with all the spots in the liver there's not enough time or liver to even do it. So now that I visualized this I can see why the doctor wanted to start the new regiment right away. I sat In the chemo chair for about 3 hours and then will be heading back next Friday for session 2. We have a full weekend ahead with Donna's brother's wedding and reception, all the uncles from out of town made it in safe. We had a pizza wedding party with everyone, then took the out of town folks to our biggest landmark, the Sundial Bridge, which they thought was incredible. We will be busy with family through Monday. So we'll blog you later and keep the prayer chains going now more than ever. Thanks and love to all, Dave and Family
