Sorry that it's been some time between posts but I've been a busy guy. Not only that but with the kids back to school I have to get on during the early part of the day because the kids have a lot of homework that involves the computer.
Sunday was a great day for removing myself from the battle. I had an excellent day of golf even though I played fairly awful, all aggression was transfered onto little white golf balls and it felt good. Then my family and I went to our baseball game/potluck, it was so much fun I even play on the kids team as catcher to help even things up. I had the best hit out of all the grown ups, I was 3ft. from putting thge ball out of the park and I only made it to 2nd base because I was wearing sandals. We lost 10 to 7 but everyone had a blast and I was exhausted, hey doc I got my exercise.
Monday was also exhausting mentally. I sent 4 straight hours on the phone, mostly on hold trying to working out copay relief for my pills. Talk about a maze of info and people to deal with, It's amazing though how much is out there to try. I was not able to get relief on this round but things are in the works for help on the next round pray that god helps us here. When my Service Manager from work that's out of Sacramento heard the price of the copay he called the Teamsters to tell them to look into it I immediately got a call from them saying that they was calling my health plan for answers. Later that day they got back to me to say it was correct that they pay 70% I pay 30%. My father in law drove to the Sacramento pharmacy since he lives there and paid for them which I told him he is now on the creditors list to be paid back first since this is the most important steps to get the treatment going. the pills arrived this morning about 10 am. the best part of yesterday was I met with Pastor Jim Botts and taped my testimonial story of how I came to be a Christan and why I wanted to be Baptized it was great to get that ball rolling, thanks Greg in your help on that also. Were on for chemo starting 2 pm. Thursday, please pray that all goes well and remember if you call me and ask me if I can please hold you may hear an explosion on the other end of the line.
Thanks for your continued love and support,
Dave and family
Ps.I have people asking everyday if they can help us,please direct email requests to Debbie Grigsby; debgrigsby@yahoo.com she is coordinating all help. Thanks Again!
