Par fore the Cause!

Hi to all you caring souls, God really blessed me Monday very unexpectedly! I got a call from my friend JD needing to borrow my golf shoes. When he got to my house he told me that our General Manager from AmeriPride out of Sacramento needed him to fill in at a Par for the Cause Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament At Sevillano Links, put on by St. Elizabeth's hospital and our company was a major sponsor. When JD explained that he was not really looking forward to this because he was way behind on reports that were due and he would be totally stressed out the whole time. So I joking said,"I'd love to fill in for you, I'm feeling real good and just sitting around doing nothing. JD contacted Jay Luck our G.M. to ask and he thought it was an awesome ideal to have me come down and join them. Talk about God blessing me in such a way! I got down there in time to get to meet with Jay and Tom Raffa our sales manager for this area, where they introduced me to our Pro, Dane Jansken from Brentwood Country Club in the L.A. area. It was a best ball tournament Where we had a team score and the Pros were playing against each other. We shot a 7 under as a team and Dane came in second for the pros at 2 under. What a fabulous day filled with fun, prizes, a lunch BBQ and a buffet dinner banquet at the end. It was cool at most of the holes they had volunteers working and I saw several of my customers off my route. At one hole they had skeet shooting for a chance to win a prize and where I got to impress the guys by shooting both of my clay birds and while none of them could hit theirs. I got a nice Cool Pix digital camera at the banquet and had a wonderful meal before the ride home. But the best part of the whole day as watching our Pro play golf up close, I've never saw someone with that level of skill play in person and best yet he actually applauded me on chip shoot that landed close to the pin on one hole, applauds from a Pro, it can't get any better than that! I would like to thank Jay, Tom and Dane for making this day stand out as one of the best days I've had since my cancer battle started. Once again God shows up to provide his goodness and blessings on me and I must give praise to this testament of is love. Thanks again, Love Dave
